Edmonton International Airport was Canada's fastest growing airport and it was looking for a new brand that reflected it's modern vision to become one of Canada's major international airports. The new brand underpinned a billion dollar expansion program and included a hotel and cargo hub for Western Canada.

We collaborated closely with the EIA executive team to develop a new positioning, identity, experience and brand for the airport and its tenants. A custom winged chevron, representing a more modern era in air service, is the primary mark. A series of gradients using a vibrant blue palette with deep navy and yellow accents work in tandem with a block typeface to complement the airport's commitment to customer service and modern technologies, like unmanned check-in kiosks and Nexus.

We extended the identity to the airports signage and architectural accents, including a huge outdoor mural on the main terminal windows. The new identity appears in everything from their website to construction hoarding.

The EIA rebrand won over 24 international airport marketing awards, including three consecutive Best Airport Marketing in North America Awards.
