May 7 is National Child & Youth Mental Health Day, a movement started by FamilySmart to show how small moments of care can make a big difference in a young person’s life. Pulse partnered with FamilySmart to create a digital hub for this initiative, bringing the message “I Care About You” to life online with empathy, clarity, and impact. The goal: build a campaign platform that empowers communities to show up for youth through meaningful connection.

We led the creative and digital strategy for the new May7icare microsite, developing a space that is both welcoming and resource-rich. Built in collaboration with FamilySmart and backed by the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development, the site centralizes tools, stories, and calls to action to inspire caring conversations.

Our work began with a full UX and visual design process that prioritized accessibility, warmth, and clarity. From there, we developed a visual identity and creative direction anchored in youth-centered storytelling and emotional resonance. Our team managed the custom WordPress development, ensuring a responsive, easy-to-update platform that would serve FamilySmart for years to come.

We wrote and structured the site’s content to be highly readable and supportive for parents, caregivers, and educators. In addition to the website, we helped FamilySmart develop and package the digital toolkit, a series of practical, downloadable resources designed for schools and families.

The navigation and layout were guided by trauma-informed design principles, with special attention given to the emotional experience of visitors engaging with youth mental health topics.

Every decision was made with care, ensuring the site could serve as both a beacon of support and a place of action.
