Service: Fundraising Campaign Strategy and Implementation


Part of Sunterra Market's community outreach program involves supporting local charities in Calgary and Edmonton. When their community partner Inn from the Cold, Calgary's largest family shelter, put out an emergency call to the community, Sunterra stepped up to help. Winter was coming and the shelter needed financial help to handle the influx of families they were seeing. 

A customer-driven fundraising campaign was quickly developed with one of their most popular items; sugar cookies. The team created a three pack of custom hand-made star cookies for $5 with all the proceeds going to the Inn from the Cold for the entire month of December. The campaign was promoted with a media release, digital distribution, event activations, postcard handouts in shoppers' bags and a feature in their holiday catalogue.




The cookie campaign was a sweet success and raised over $46,000 in one month for the Inn from the Cold.
